AKL/Sunrise Safari has anyone done it this way?

I'm hoping someone on this board can tell me that they've done this and it still can be done. I was lucky with the AP rates for the AKL but they only had concierge for our Sat. night stay and Friday we will be deluxe pool. I want to know from you if what the CM said is true that we can check in before the Sunrise Safari get our club level card and join the above tour. I hope it's true as the above tour is the main reason we're booking a concierge room. Thanks for your help.

I would call the concierge at AKL just to make sure, but I don't know why they wouldn't let you do that.

I don't have the AKL concierge direct phone number (I'm at work), but here is the number to the AKL resort (407) 938-3000.

The Sunrise Safari is only offered certain days of the week, so make sure it's offered the morning you are referring to.

They can also run out of room on the safari, so make sure to contact the concierge as soon as possible to book this "don't miss" outing.

I had a fantastic safari this past Feb. Our guides were funny and very informative. I got so many wonderful pictures, too (shots that I never could have gotten on the regular safari).

I'm also wanting the Sunrise Safari and was told to do this...call AKL concierge exactly 90 days from when you want to go. The soonest you can book it is 90 days out and call first thing in the morning as it does sell out and they can only take 40 people. Also, the have this on Tues and Sat mornings.

I know that if you stay concierge Friday night you can do Sunrise Safari Saturday morning (check out day). I don't know about your situation though. Call them and ask!

Since were staying AKL concierge in Dec. and want to do the Sunrise Safari, I called them yesterday to get the specifics regarding it. I had to leave a message. I just got a call from the concierge staff regarding my message. First she apoligized for not getting back to me sooer (I was actually surprised they called this soon, hasn't even been 24 hours). Anyway. she qwent over the details with me and then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to book it now. I said, I don't have to wait untill the 90 day mark and she said no. So, as of about 5 mins. ago, we are now confirmed for the Sunrise Safari for Dec. 2nd. I am so excited!!!! So, for anyone wanting it, call now, you don't have to wait untill the 90 mark. The woman I spoke to was so nice and helpful. She put several notations on our ressies, just from things we were talking about. I never had to ask for them. Too cool!!!

They also let us sneak in before the 90 day mark. My DH called just to get info on when you can book it and other stuff and they said we will book it for you now since it is our event, we can bends the rules a little bit.

So we are on for Dec 6 and can't wait. This is one of the reasons I wanted to stay at the AKL and having to stay concierge to get it is just something I am going to have to suffer thru!

I made reservations for DEC 8;, 9 and 10 AKL concierge on Thursday night. Friday morning I started calling concierge Itinerary Planning Office (407-938-4755) to get Sunrise Safari tickets for Dec. 9 and had to leave several messages since phones were so busy. Finally I sent an e-mail (wdw.AKLodge. concierge@disney.com) and they replied telling me I'm booked - just have to give them my credit card number.
