AKL Sunrise and sunset safari

I think i heard the Sunrise safari and sunset safari were only for Concierge guests at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Are they still going to have concierge there now that DVC is taking over the top two floors? My question pretty much is, is this going to be opened up to DVC members and other guest now?? Any info would be great. Thanks!

Hi,
If you book DVC concierge category you would be able to book the sunrise and or the sunset safaris. Non-DVC members can still book concierge but they are now on the fourth floor.

There will still be concierge for AKL guests. There will also be 5 two bedroom lockoffs for the DVC guests who want to book concierge. The safaris are still for concierge guests.

I thought I had read somewhere else on this forum that both safari's had been opened up to all guests at the AKL not just for concierge guests?

I believe they have opened up the Sunset Safari to AKL guests if they do not sell it out to concierge guests but the cost is considerably greater then for concierge guests.

Tiffany is correct. The Sunset Safari is available to any AKL guest, but priority and discount pricing goes to club level guests. The Sunrise Safari is still exclusive to AKL club level only. Club level guests now include the DVC units on the 5th & 6th floor of the AKL, plus the standard club level rooms located on the lower floors.
