AKL Standard - what to request

We're booked in AKL Standard in early December. We've stayed there before, but in a Savannah view room. That wasn't in the budget this year (plus only standard view was discounted for our dates). It's me, DH, DS5, DS1 in one room, and grandma and grandpa in another room. We'd like something relatively quiet and not too high traffic.

Any suggestions for our room request?

We were booked at AKL in a standard room with the discount also. But then we upgraded to a savanna bunkbed when it became available.

The requests we asked for when we were booked standard were Ostrich Trail and close to lobby.

The Giraffe Trail is close to the busses and I've heard it creates a lot of noise and fumes (that is if you spend time out on your balcony).

Remember that the only standard rooms are located in these two trails. But cross your fingers and you just might get upgraded
