All DVC rooms at Jambo are on the fifth floor except for the club level rooms on the sixth. Originally the only standards were those surrouding the pool area. That was changed in 2012 when a large number of savanna view rooms were changed to standard view, apparently because animal views were not considered quite as good from a number of savanna view rooms. The number of standard view rooms that have savanna view now outnumber somewhat the total number around the pool (studios, like 1BRs to which they are attached to make lock-off 2BRs, are spread throughout the floor).

If you have standard view, best chance for a savanna view is to request room on the Kudo Trail side of the building since all standard views on that side have a Sunset Savanna view. Do not request through MS a standard view room "with a savanna view" as you are likely to be told you need to reserve savanna view to get that.
