AKL standard rooms

What should I request for the best standard rooms?

If anyone could even point me to a map of standard vs pool vs savannah rooms I'd appreciate it.

I won't know much about standard rooms until I stay in one which is coming up in a couple of weeks.

I believe we stayed in Giraffe Trail. The side away from the bus stops. We were on the lobby level so very easy to reach our rooms after a busy park day. It was extremely quiet and the view wasn't too bad. Our balconies were behind some shrubs and trees so we really couldn't see the cars. There are many great places throughout the resort to view animals so staying standard view was okay. AKL is absolutely gorgeous so I'm sure you'll have an awesome time.

That's great to know - we try to keep an early-to-bed schedule, so extremely quiet is required! Stayed at WL once and were upgraded to a view with an extremely obstructed MK fireworks view and had to threaten DD (then 4) with the worst things she could imagine if she didn't lay down and stop talking.

Seems like a Giraffe trail request may be upgraded to a sunset savannah view and an Ostrich trail request may be upgraded to a pool view - I guess either one is not the parking lot, though we'd prefer the savannah.
