AKL-Savannah VIEW recommendation please!

First time at AKL - I would like to stay on the Zebra Trail, I think! Going end of September 2005. Wanting a great Savannah View, close to pool, and bus, and main lobby. I need a bunk bed too. Anyone stay there and have a room # recommendation that fits all of that criteria? It always seem to work better to recommend an actual room #.

We requested 3rd Floor facing the Arusha Savannah- and that's what we got. We were on Kudu Trail, room 3331 I believe. It was a great view.

I would decide which of your requests is the most important and list that first when you make your reservations. It will be noted on your ressie as a request but it is not guaranteed that you will get what you want. I think the chances of getting the actual room # that you request is slim. I am sure that the room assigner does not have time to take care of multiple requests on every reservation - it would be almost impossible to grant everyone's requests! Also everyone has different opinions on what a "great Savannah view" is. We have had some great views in our past stays, but they were far away from the lobby. So pick what is most important and go from there. The AKL is our favorite resort, I hope you enjoy your trip.

We have had great luck with this in the past at WL. There are just a few rooms with Castle View, we have requested by room # and they do put us in. I know that it is not gaurenteed but if you put in the request, and follow up with the hotel directly 48-24 hours before check in, it seems to work well.

Zebra is good - been there, done that, via concierge room. Any room looking towards Arusha Rock/that savanah area is going to be good, so Kudu would do too (say that fast, haha )

We were at AKL last month and had arusha savanah.. room # 2301, elevators & ice machine was right across the hall & laundry was not too far down the hall. We had a great view.

If you don't like the view that you get you can ask for a different room. first room they gave us was 4th floor & we couldn't see the animals for the tree tops being right outside our balconey. 2nd room was a bad view so we nicely asked again and got room 2301 and was more than happy, Queen beds but the boys did not mind since the view was so good.

The cm's there were great in helping us and very friendly. Even said if we were not happy we could request a room change later in the week. I would ask for 2nd or 3rd floor.

We had room 4239 on Kudo Trail, was with bunk beds, excellent view as they put the food for the giraffes in a tree directly across from our balcony, close to elevator and stairs. Not far from the lobby. A few mins walk to mara and the pool.

We had Arusha Savannah - Zebra trail room 3305..it was a great location. Near the ice machines and elevators. We could take the elevators down and would be right near laundry, pool and Mara..Have a great trip.
