AKL Room Service

Hi all I was curious....from which of the AKL restaurants is the room service menu from? Does anybody know? Thank you!

We stayed at the AKL some three years ago and don't recall the food been from any particular restaurant, the room service menu seemed quite individual.

Although the food in the restaurants was yummy, when we opted for room service we found it pricey and quite bland really.

We often ordered pizza delivery instead.

When we was there, there was a self service restaurant which was open till late, reasonably priced and fairly good for a quick bite to eat.

If you don't mind me asking ..where did you order the pizza delivery from? When I checked the site I thought I said AKL did not offer pizza delivery...Which made me a little sad really.

Oh thank you so much I will go check it out. I seen it on the DVC website under the resort comparison it said AKL no pizza delivery. Don't know what that was all about but I guess even Disney can make mistakes! Thanks a bunch for the link!

We've always enjoyed AKL room service, and their pizza is good, too. Mara, the restaurant Fairytale is referring to, also has some tasty offerings. The soup there is deelish.

We just picked up a couple of menus locally, rang from our room, and advised Concierge that we were expecting a pizza delivery.

They rang us to ket us know when it was here and hey presto !!

Never asked if I was allowed to do it, I just saw Domino pizza boxes been cleaned out of someones room one day by maid service and thought it seemed a good idea.

Thanks Fairytale.... I never thought of ordering from off site. I guess we just thought no one would deliver that far. Which I realize it probably isn't that far. I live in a rural area... hence the user name and the closest place that has pizza delivery is about an hour from here. Thanks again ...we will probably end up giving that a try!

If you want to save a few dollars - instead of ordering from room service, pick up meals at the Mara and bring them back to your room. Eat out on your balcony, watching the animals. We did this a few times. In the morning, I'd pop down to Mara and pick up breakfast for everyone, and carry it back on a tray.

Way cheaper than room service.
