AKL Room Requests

My wife and I are going to be staying at AKL for the first time from Sept. 2 through Sept. 6. in a savannah view room. We will be celebrating our anniversary during this trip and would like some input as to where to request a room. We would obviously like a quiet/romantic location. I have read that rooms along the Suset Savannah are nice but would love to have any other input.

According to the FAQ thread, Arusha Savanna, Zebra Trail is recommended.

But I'll be there on Wednesday to find out for sure

My husband and I stayed 3rd floor Arusha last year. It was incredible. It was the only time in history that my husband beat me out of bed! He couldn't wait to spot things to point out to me when I got up. Also, we like to sleep and were dreading the early times for Extra Magic Hour. It was NEVER a problem because we were so excited to see the animals. We usually were up before Mickey called to tell us to get up!

We're going back in Sept (you'll be long gone before we arrive), but we're going for luck of the draw this time. I wouldn't mind Ostrichs this time but I'll be happy with what I get.

we have had the best time when staying on zebra trail arusha savannah room block 2516-2531...this location is close enough to the mara for drink/snack runs and to the pool so that you don't feel like you are walking a mile to swim, but far enough away to be private. Also, there is a giraffe feeder nearby. Finally, the only time we hated our stay at the resort (one time out 9 stays) was on kudu trail facing out. This location was too far away from everything and had few animals at any one time.

Mousekeeping ignored the Do Not Disturb sign twice. Please make sure that if you're in your room with the Do Not Disturb sign up that you also do the safety bolt. That way they can't just barge in.

I was wondering the same thing, I will be there the end of Sept and can't wait.
