AKL Room questions....Please help

I am going to AKL first week in April savannah view

When can I start to ask about a room????

What part of AKL would you ask to stay????

What floor is the best???

I dont mind the walk to the pool if the view is better further further away but if there is a spot that offers both let me know what that is.....

I have a copy of the map but I just need to know when I can call and check on where I will be staying and see if I can get what I want...

Maybe I dont even have this option but I would like to know

I put in a request when I booked the room, but requests are not guaranteed. We checked in early in the day (before noon) and asked for their best view - if you check in late in the day, you probably have a lesser chance of getting what you want. As I understand it, room numbers are not assigned until you are standing there checking in.

We stayed on the fourth floor, Kudu Trail, Arusha Savannah and were thrilled with the view, but it was a longer walk to the restaurants and pool.
