AKL Room Choice Question

Is it best to request a specific room for AKL? We have a deluxe pool view booked and I've seen many threads of people suggesting specific rooms. If we go without putting in a special request is there such a thing as a "bad" deluxe pool view room?

Specific room requests are hard for room assignors to fill as they are looking at when others are checking out, etc. I'm not sure about the pool view rooms, though, in regards to if there is a bad view or not. We've always had savannah view rooms. For those we really like the 3rd floor and ask to be close to the lobby area since my mom has difficulty walking, late at night.

Unless you're really attached to the pool view idea, I wouldn't request a specific room and would wait to see if I was upgraded to Savannah view upon check in.
