Can someone please tell me where on the AKL resort map is the Conceirge Lounge located? I am looking at the map and it is probably right in front of me labled someplace but I cannot see it. Also, by looking at the map can a person tell which floors or rooms the Concierge level/rooms are located?

Much thanks!:worship:

(Basically we need to know because an adult in our party has a very, very bad back problem and would like the concierge level for the safari but needs to be as close to the lobby as possible. He does not use a wheelchair there is not a need for that just close proximity if possible to the Lobby. So knowing where the lounge is located will help a great deal and knowing where the Concierge rooms are (the room numbers & floors like 4th & 5th floor ranging from X400 to X590- something like that) is what I am hoping to get out of the map.)

The lounge is located on the 6th floor. Based on what I have read, club level rooms are on the 5th and 6th floors. We are staying there in November and I can't wait!!

I have read that concierge rooms are on 4th floor and dvc are on 5th and 6th.

I will know in 2 weeks time as we are staying concierge:cool1:

Concierge rooms are on the 4th fl and lounge is right off the elevator on the sixth floor. We stayed there last Dec. Our room was quite a distance from the lounge. I was very tired (I was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks after we got back from our Disney trip so I now know why I was so tired.) and did not use the lounge as much as I would have had the room been closer. Our room was almost at the very end of the 4th floor on the Zebra trail. If you need a room close to the lounge, be sure to indicate medical reasons. I requested a room close to the lounge because of how tired I was but we were put almost as far away as you could get.

The lounge is on 6th, rooms on 4th, all Savannah view. Someone in a wheel chair won't have a problem getting around. There are plenty of elevators.

I agree someone in a wheel chair would not have a problem. Diva said the person in her party does not use a wheel chair. It can be a very very long walk between your room and the lounge depending on your room especially for someone with back problems. She needs to be certain to request a room close to the elevators.

I am very sorry to hear this and will definitely keep you in my prayers. I hope you are battling it well.

There are a couple of disabled rooms pretty close but these are designed for wheelchair users with roll in showers. The closest rooms I can think of would be the parking lot/bus stop views.

Thank you everyone. It is kind of wierd that the Lounge is not near the Concierge rooms.

BTW Sherry-please know that you are in my prayers, I hope your cancer goes into remission very soon.

The AKL is a large, spread out resort. Some of the rooms are near the concierge lounge and some aren't. Not every room can be nearby everything.

Thanks Diva and Scooby. My last chemo is next week... then surgery in early Oct. Then Disney is Jan. Prognosis is good. I can hardly wait to walk down Main Street in Jan. I feel so blessed that it appears my cancer has been taken care of by the chemo and radiation and that there is a Disney trip in my future. Diva have a great trip at AKL. I am sure if you explain they will get you as close as possible. It may help to give the concierge staff a call and explain your situation. AKL is my very favorite resort. If we can get a good price in Jan that is our first choice. Let us know how you make out when you get back. :wizard:
