AKL Questions

DH, DD (4 mo) and I will be staying at the AKL for one night on Nov 21 (rest of trip will be at off-site condo with inlaws). We have booked a Savannah view room and were wondering if there is a certain floor or location we should request. We will be bringing our own stroller so distance from lobby is not an issue. Also, can you actually see alot of animals from your room? This will be the first day of our trip so we won't be going to any parks, just plan on hanging around the hotel.

I would request the Arusha Savannah, it really had the best assortment and amount of animals in it based upon our 2 stays at AKL. Since you dont' mind walking, either the Zebra or Kudu Trails would be fine and you'd have a greater chance of being on the Arusha Savannah if you don't care about the trail too.

The second floor is considered "eye level" for animal viewing. We had a room on the second floor last June and it was great. I also recommend requesting the Arusha Savanah and either Zebra or Kudu trails. We have had rooms on both trails and saw the same animals each time.
