AKL price difference? Am I missing something?

Ok, here I sit trying to figure out prices for AKL in order to take my son for his Birthday. We want to stay at AKL, since he loves animals so much. Since we live only a couple of hours away, and have seasonal passes we were planning on staying for 1 day. Here's what I have come up with so far.

2 adults, and 2 kids (5 and 1)

AKL 1 Night package with dining - April 28-29 -1 day park passes - $834.44
( Had to call CRO to get this quote, said no availability on line)

AKL 1 Night package with dining - April 27-28- 1 day park passes - $647.96

Why is there such a difference in the price?

What was the reason for the huge difference

I noticed that the two different quotes have two different dates. Is one day a weekday vs. a weekend day??

One is a Friday/Saturday the other is Saturday/Sunday .... that wasn't the reason for the difference. What made the difference is that the initial person that I spoke with for some reason added Travel Insurance.
