I have a poolview room. I was wondering if they have rooms that are on the 1st floor looking at the pool with patios. Do they have sliding glass doors that go right out onto the patio since there wouldn't be a balcony? What are those rooms like? Do you have any privacy? Is there a fence kinda thing around them or do you worry about people coming and sitting on your patio outside your room? Is it too loud? Anyone every stay in one of these? I'd like to request one of these rooms if it's a good idea. Any draw backs to these rooms? Thanks, YO

We had a pool view on the third floor. It can be noisey at times with the late swimmers. I believe the first floor rooms have bushes in front of the patios so you can't walk right out to the pool and you have some privacy.

I may be way off here, but I don't think any rooms at AKL are actually ground level. I know they are not on the savannah sides of the lodge.

we stayed in room #1456 at AKL. the room was on the ground level(actually pool level, but down two levels from the lobby). In our opinion, it was the best room location one could possibly ask for. the room did have sliding glass doors that went out to the patio. It was enclosed and covered for the most part with trees. you could not go directly to the pool from the patio and I doubt if anyone could see much into the room with the tree cover and all. We did not notice any noise when the sliding glass doors were shut and we were inside the room. This was one of our most favorite room locations while at a disney resort...super close and convenient to everything...

:cheer2: daddy,

do you know if they have bunks in those rooms? I'd love to get the whole enchalada and get both unless, call me  they want to move me up to a savana view that would be too :cool1: or call me even  ' er and move us up to concierge I'd be really :happy2:
Thanks all of you for your info, YO

I had a first floor pool view room with bunk beds #1030. I did not like the room because our view was very limited pool and mostly Disney boulder, but my family loved it. This is a room two floor down from the lobby, and very near the entrance to the fitness room and spa. DS then 14 kept hopping over the patio railing to go to the pool (to infuriate me, no doubt; I kept telling him to go out into the hall and out the regular door! LOL) There were bushes screening the patio railing, we used the drapes to exclude peepers. For some people this room would be perfect. I guess I just hoped for a better view.

dgaston,
Was there any noise problems? Do you think all the rooms are very limited like this with any poolviews? Thanks, YO
