Help! I am stuck staying at the same Deluxe Hotel over and over again! This will be our 3rd stay at AKL. We always visit the other Deluxe Hotels and I always say next time this is were we will stay. When "next time" comes around I always book AKL. I called to see what else was available during our stay and Poly was available for nearly the same rate. I thought about it but let it go and decided to stick with AKL. I guess I am afraid of being dissappointed with a new Resort. Anyone else feel this way too? And Poly lovers did a make a mistake?

I've stayed at both places, and I honestly think AKL is a nicer hotel. Poly is nice, but AKL is truly something extraordinary.

All of the deluxes are wonderful and are so unique in their own ways. I certainly can understand why you love AKL. It is a great resort and when you have had great vacations there it is hard to leave. I am one though that would tell you to try everything once. As you don't want to leave AKL, why don't you split your stay? Do the first couple of days at the Poly and use it to its full value. Go to MK and Epcot more on those days where you will use the monorail more often. Last couple of days stay at AKL and hit MGM and AK more as your closer by bus. This way you get to experience both and still end your vacation where you know you want to be. Just a suggestion to make decissions harder to make.

Best of luck and let us know what you've decided to do.

We split our stay last year 3 days AKL and 3 at poly.....my kids are 10 and 12..... we liked the AKL but the poly we loved.......we are going again this summer going back to poly did not even consider the AKL... for us ...it was nice to see and stay at once but do not have to do it again.............the poly pool is so much nicer..... the veiw is fabulous....the food in my opinion is alot better.....you have the monorail the boat to MK.......WE liked seeing the animals... had a great room at the AKL... 3 floor zebra trail right near elevators to the pool...... and it is really nice... but the poly is the bomb.........that is my opionion.... i was not wild over the mara or boma.. and i know some love those...... If your kids like a good pool... which is one of our requirements.... go to the poly......::yes:: amy

I can't blame you for your love of AKL, it's the only on property resort I've stayed in and this upcoming trip we're staying at VWL and everyday I wonder if I've made the right decision. Consider splitting the stay to expand your horizon.

I agree with the pp's, split your stay!! That's what I did for our April trip - AKL is our favorite, but it's been awhile since we stayed at the Poly, previously our favorite but demoted by AKL to second!;)

Both resorts are wonderful, and different. The Poly has that lush, island feel, with great views of the MK and the monorail!! AKL is exotic, with wonderful views of the savannas, and dedicated buses for all the parks! It was too hard to choose, so I didn't!!

My parents stayed at the Poly every year from 1981-2000! Now they have switched to the GF because my mom gets so annoyed with pool hoppers and how crowded Poly seems to be with people who aren't actually staying there. We decided AKL for spring break and I am sooooo excited (however, I'm starting to be a little "homesick" for the Poly!). If I were you, I'd split my stay but I don't think there's anything wrong with always staying at the resort you love!

Poly lovers did a make a mistake?

YES!!! ;)
