AKL or Raddisson nite before cruise?

I am getting myself confused. I already had everything set and now the DH says he wants to go to WDW before.
I had plans for the raddison which includes parking and shuttle. If I do WDW I will have to park at the port. How much does that cost?
Should I just use a private company and not rent the car?
We are going to AKL after the cruise as well.
What are your thoughts on this?

We have stayed at AKL the night before for both our cruises. We love the resort and find it relaxing - it is our favorite.

Transportation, however, is a problem as you need to get from airport to AKL, AKL to Port, Port to AKL, and AKL to airport. It can get expensive.

We looked into DCL transports, town cars and rental cars. The best option is to rent a car and drop off at the port. You can also pickup a car at the port and then drop it off at the airport later. A few rental car companies are very close to the port and have free shuttles for drop off and pickup.

After checking all the rates, we just rented a car and parked at the port. This cost more but was more convienent. Parking at the port is $10 per day (therefore $30, $40, or $70 depending on which cruise you take).

We have a car rented already , 1 week rental full sized budget 174.46
I will look into the one rentals and see how that works out.

We're staying at AKL this friday before our 1/22 cruise. We have one way rentals w/ budget using the walmart code found on mousesavers.com. For a full size, we're paying $34 the pick up Friday and drop off at the Budget near the port on Saturday and $42 to pick up when we return on Sat. and return that day at the airport.

We LOOOOVE AKL and can't wait to go back.

I would rent a car. It makes it very convienent and you don't have to wait for someone to pick you up and the logistics of arranging all the transfers. The only bad thing is the possible wait time to pick up your rental car. We rented from budget in Oct and waited in line for 2 hours to get our car. When we were there my wife got a double ear infection on the flight and we had to go to urgent care. Thank goodness we had the rental car. We recieved a quote from Happy Limo and it was going to be $280, plus tip for each leg, from airport to WDW, WDW to DCL and DCL to airport.

Thanks for the replys , we've decided to keep the rental car. We are going to stay at AKL before the cruise now.
