AKL or OKW

Hey everyone, I'm back again with another resort questions.

My previous dreams of staying at BWV has been dashed so I'm exploring my options again.

I need you guys to enlighten me... I've search the threads for comparisons or even just info on theses two but I come up short on OKW. OKW has never even been on my radar before so I am totally clueless about this resort. I'm only slightly more educated on AKV though...

DH and I will be staying in Oct and (hopefully) renting points for a studio maybe one these two places.

Will you tell me about them or just tell me which would be better for a couple in their mid 20s...or is just a more enjoyable resort?

Info on the bus systems would be great as well!

Both are really nice. Two things to consider.... Will you spend alot of time at the resort? If so, you might like AKV because there is a lot to do right there and there are more dining options onsite and under one roof.
Or would you prefer to have easy access to DTD and those dining options? OKW is just a boat ride away from DTD.

May not matter to you, but OKW studios have two beds whereas AKV studios have a bed and a pullout couch.

That's a tough one. Will you have a car? If it's just the two of you, I would probably pick AKL. We have stayed at both resorts and they are very different. OKW is more centrally located to all the parks, but their bus system takes some time to make it around the entire internal loop. However it is efficient and we never had problems with it. If you stay close to the HH, you could avoid all of that though. OKW is very laid back and beachy themed. Think Florida! We enjoyed our stay there. Bonus:the rooms are huge!

AK's buses are good because they don't share with anyone else, however it's also further away from all the parks besides AK. To us it wasn't a big deal, but to some people it might be. I love, love the ambiance and decor of AK though. I love the dark colors, the feeling that you're in a whole different part of the world, the CM's are fantastic, the lobby at Jambo is amazing, the animals are fun to look at, also peaceful, etc.. OK, I really love AKL. It depends on what you're looking for and what things are important to you. Good luck!
