Ok, we decided o change our January trip we just booked to a November trip to celebrate our anniversary. So, we are not going in January and our new dates are

Were there any good discounts for the beginning of August this year for pool view room ? Just planning ahead I'm hoping there will be the same next year .

We will be staying in a one bedroom standard view (AKV Kidani) in a few weeks.
Is there any point to making any type of room requests and if so what might they be (we did not have the option to book a better view due to availability)

.....hmmmmm....that seems like money better-spent on Zebra Domes....or Dole Whips....or cream-cheese filled pretzels...or a Mickey Dove bar....or.....

....hey, gotta have my priorities....

I get motion sick, so standing on a bus ride is not a good option for me. Better to spend the money on a taxi rather than feel like I'm going to be sick on the ride to the park!

Anyone have a picture of the people pen view? I have 1 night in a standard coming up and interested in some of the possibilities... I have had an Arusha savannah view before.

We had a people pen view and I was super happy about it! I was expecting parking lot view, so to be able to enjoy animals from the balcony was amazing- it was one of my family's favorite things about the last trip. My trip report has a bunch of pictures from our balcony.

It also has a ton of other pictures so you'll have to scroll through, but I think post #20 gives you a pretty good idea of overall view. Hope that helps!

It feels good paying off your trip so congratulations : ) We just paid off ours last week so I know the feeling you have and it's excitement to know you'll be in the WDW bubble so very soon! Our dates are Nov 9-19 AKL CL followed by GF RPCL November 19-23 ... When are your dates? How awesome your staying in a grand villa!!!!! Take lots of pictures : )

I would catch the bus about 7am. Simply because, waiting for the bus, plus getting to the gate and checking in to be allowed entry to the park may take some time..

Thanks so much but yikes coming from the west so with the time difference that's gonna suck lol Our crystal palace breakfast is on our 3rd day so hopefully we can get on the time difference by day 3 or it's like getting up at 3 am to get ready. I guess that's one sure way to get on the time zone since we'd be beat by the evening : )
