Thank you Pinkocto and RachelTori for the information. This is our first stay at AKL so I wasn't sure. Only 29 more days until we check-in. We are so excited!!

Tomorrow is 60 days from our trip, so I can check in online. It still seems weird to me to do that. And I can book FP+ (assuming the site is cooperating).

I'll talk to my husband tonight about what he'd like to request for a view. I'll likely request to be near the pool and Pumba elevator (that's the closest one to the pool at Kidani, I think). If he still wants the Pembe savannah, I might ask to be halfway between Rafiki and Pumba. Or maybe near the Timon elevator, so we're closer to transportation and the walk to the Mara isn't quite so whine-worthy from the middle two kids.

When I'm there, I plan to mark down those odd bits of info that I always want but can't find easily (the elevator names, for example). Any suggestions on what else to add? I'll try to scan it and post it here when I get back if it would be helpful.

Things have been crazy busy here and we haven't had a chance to sit down and talk about it yet!

DISapalooza?!?!?!?!? Please do tell! I wasn't planning to be in a park on the 6th, dinner at DTD then resort hopping to see holiday décor - but surely I could break away from my group to pop into DHS!!!!!

We are staying AK Kidani 1 BR Jan 5 - 8!!

We have never stayed at a Disney deluxe or villa before and we are so excited! I started with a ressie offsite, changed it to ASMu Suite, changed it to AOA LK Suite and, now, after renting points for my first time, we are ready for Kidani!
We are actually staying AOA Jan 4 and then moving over to Kidani on the 5th.

Do any of you have a favorite, don't miss it, advice idea for us during our stay? Want to get as much out of the experience as possible.

Congratulations! If you're staying in an LK Suite at AoA that first night, you are in for a treat! DH & I spent a night there over Labor Day and it was very nice! We spent lots of time walking the grounds and taking lots of pictures!

As for ideas for your Kidani stay....... you will have access to everything at both Kidani and Jambo so enjoy it all! Both pool areas are great! You must go out to the overlook at Kidani (by the firepit). There will be at least one CM out there from a region in Africa. Fascinating to hear their stories - the many sacrifices they have made just to be at WDW and provide a better life for their families back home.

Check the Activity Board each day.

The best advice I have is to make sure you make time to relax and enjoy the resort. It's a vacation within a vacation!

Does CL still offer both Sunrise Safari & Waynama Safari? Something tells me I saw that they stopped doing one of them.

AP rates came out today for March & I have airfare down on 3/2....looking to stay at least 2 nights AKL CL - I never have & always wanted to!

That is really how we are looking at it - " a vacation within a vacation"!
I love the way Disney is "authentic" with their CM, whether it is Epcot or a resort! Can't wait!! Thanks for putting us on the list!
