We had no issue with busses 2 weeks ago.

Sorry to say can you remove me from the March list - we switched over to Poly for this trip. No worries- we have 2 Boma breakfast ressies though during our Poly stay so we can get our AKL fix!!

I think my signature says oct. But we are going to be at akv-cl December 14-23. I am still walking the reservation(we own there) but since I am already walking it I don't think we will have a problem

Haven't stayed at akl/v in a long time. Our last stay was in 2011 I believe.

Hoping we are staying close enough to christmas to see some of the special things like the characters but also getting in a decent amount of lowish crowd park time.

My DGD & I will be staying at AoA in early May. We will definitely visit AKL and see the animals! Does anyone know if my DGD would be allowed to decorate the cookies as offered at the hotel, or is this for AKL guests only?

Hi everyone! I posted this as it's own thread, but someone suggested I post it here so here goes!

We will be spending Xmas week at AKL next year and I was wondering if anyone staying there now can answer a few questions?
Are there any Xmas activities at the lodge?
Do any characters show up? How about Santa?
Do they have cookies & cider in the lobby?

They had all these things at WL last year when we stayed there & it was perfect! Just wondering if we will have the same experience at AKL.

BTW, we are DVC'ers & AKV is one of our home resorts. We have stayed many times & absolutely love the resort!! We will be there in Jan 2014 after our Disney cruise, for a couple of days to celebrate DD's Sweet 16!!

We are thinking about going again in 2015 and possibly staying at AKL. I noticed the website lists a Savannah View and an Arusha Savannah View. Which is the better of the 2 and why? Thanks!

This will be our 1st stay here! We need to have a roll in shower, so this limits the location of our room. We are super excited! Our DD 20 picked this resort. Love reading all the posts

....I've got good news and bad news:

This morning my DH informed my that he just called Disney Visa to transfer over all his points, which total about $698.....bad news is that it's only worth about 2 free days at AKL......

But it IS 2 nights at AKL!!

In the past we have seen Chip & Dale as well as other characters at Jambo House over the holidays. There are also lots of local groups who perform each evening.

Santa has shown up in the past, but we haven't been to AKL at Christmas since 2010 so I cannot confirm that he still makes a visit.

We are booked two reservations May 5-8 and May 8-10 at Kidani. We are wait listed at Beach Club Villas for the 5th to the 8th.

Stayed at Jambo in 2011 and loved it. Got pixie dusted from a studio to a 1 BR villa.

Stayed in a value villa for one night (12/23) after our stay at BWV as always love it here! We booked a value villa and was pleasantly surprised when we had a savannah view! We only used the buses to go to and from DHS and had no issues. Can't wait to come back "home" in May!

Hey there, we are AKL, Jambo May 2 - 16 !!!! Can't Fricken wait. 14 nights, 15 days, this is our Trial DVC run ... and trial FP+ run to be fair. But still, very excited. For like half a month, the real world is going to cease to exist and we will be in the heart of the world of magic.
