AKL Late Arrival Questions

Hi Everyone

I will be arriving very late - around midnight - for an AKL stay, and I already have it noted on my ressie.

My questiona are - for anyone who has ever arrived late -

Aare the outside doors open, or do they lock them up and require you to call someone to enter?

Is there still valet parking?

Any other late arrival facts about AKL?

I stayed there last year and they do not lock the doors at midnight. I'm not sure about valet parking-I never do that. I think the bell station was still open late and so valet probably is.

One thing to watch for when you drive in is the neat fire pits they have lining the road and the general atmosphere as you drive up. It is neat during the day, but really impressive at night so take your time and enjoy the short drive into the resort. Also if you don't have savannah view take a minute to walk outside when you are in the lobby to see the savannah at night. They have low level lighting so you can still see animals. Some of them seem to be more active during the night.
