AKL Jambo or Kidani

Thinking of booking a short trip and have a few AKL questions:
We prefer to stay near the main lobby where BOMA is located which side is that?
Which bus stop is first?
Where is the counter service?
Which side has the better pool?

Jumbo is the answer to all your questions. We felt it had a larger pool, busier but nicer. Also it has a full counter service restaurant.

We just like it there.

Boma is located in Jambo House.
Only Jambo House has Counter Service.
Theme Park Buses go from Kidani Village to Jambo House to Theme Park.
Downtown Disney Buses go from Jambo House to Kidani Village to Downtown Disney.

As noted above, Boma is in the Jambo building which is the original AKL. To be close to Boma you would reserve Jambo and make a non guaranteed request for Zebra Trail and close to lobby or restaurant area. Nevertheless understand that the better savanna views are not the rooms in that area; best are actually somewhat away from lobby. Boma, Mara (the counter service), and Jiko (table service) are all located in the same area in Jambo along Zebra Trail near the lobby.

Depends on what you are getting. If its 1 or 2 bedrooms then Kidani. Has the extra bathroom and separate tub and shower.

Buses stop at Kidani first except for the Downtown Disney bus. I think the pool is better at Kidani especially if you have small kids. They have a splash area with great fountains and such.

Yes all the food is at Jambo except for Sanaa.

All DVC rooms are on the top two floors at Jambo so a Savannah view won't be that great. You will be looking down on the animals.
