AKL Jambo House Questions

We have booked an AKL Jambo House 1 bedroom Villa with Savanna view for July 2020. This is our first stay at AKL. I have a bunch of questions and haven't found answers after searching threads. Any room tips, other suggestions or answers to questions are appreciatated. 1) Will there still be construction & refurbishments happening in July 2020? I'm hoping our savanna view won't be affected. 2) Are the 1 BR villas included in recent refurbishments? 3) What type of coffee maker? We really like to bring our own coffee, and I'm wondering what type of filters we need. 4) Do you have any room suggestions/preferences? Thanks!

All DVC rooms have a Mr. Coffee type drip coffee maker. Regular basket filters will work.

AKL is a huge resort. If you want a shorter walk to the lobby or an elevator ask for a room close to the lobby or elevator. There's no guarantee you'll get it, but if that's important to you you can request it.

I am staying at AKL in April in a standard room. I sent an email to Disney guest relations asking about the status of renovations. While I did not a clear answer as to exactly how or where renovations will be occurring, they did say room renovations are projected to be completed December 2020. I have read elsewhere (but not sure how accurate this is) that the lodge (non DVC) is being refurbished first, then DVC.

The DVC rooms at the Animal Kingdom Villas (Jambo House & Kidani Village) were last refurbished in 2016. There will be no DVC room refurbishments at AKV until 2023. Other areas of the resort may be under refurbishment.
