Do I understand correctly that all 2BRs at Jambo are lockoff? So, if using the various room finders like TP, I need to search for a 1BR with a studio next to it?

Would you consider the Jambo 2BR savannah view less favorable to Kidani since Jambo's are on the 5th floor only?

At AKV, the floor doesn't matter much to me. There are a number of differences between the 2-bedroom villas in Jambo House & Kidani Village.

Jambo House:
All 2-bedroom are lock-offs
Have 2 bathrooms
All DVC villas on the 5th & 6th (Concierge) floors.

Kidani Village:
Has both lock-offs and dedicated 2-bedrooms
All have 3 bathrooms
Approx. 100 sq feet larger than those in Jambo House (over 200 sq ft larger than the Jambo House Value 2-bedroom).
Has villas on floors 2 thru 5.

To add to Michael's list, the master bath in the Kidani 1BR/2BR is private to the master BR. Those sleeping in the living area have their own bathroom. In Jambo, the bathroom is across a small hallway from the bedroom so that it is accessible to those sleeping in the living area. That means you cannot move between the master bedroom and bathroom in privacy. You will be in full view of anyone in the living area and possibly also the attached studio in those 2BRs that have the connecting door in the living area. Also, the Jambo master bath has a combined whirlpool tub/shower, Kidani has the usual separate whirlpool tub and free standing shower stall.

Regarding the savanna view, I prefer to be on the lowest floor possible. It puts you at eye level with the giraffes and you can see through the trees for better animal viewing. At Jambo, you will be on the 5th floor (or 6th floor if booking Club Level). That puts you at/above the tree tops and while you will have a more expansive view, some of that view will be of tree tops rather than of the animals that happen to be under those trees.

We recently stayed in a Jambo savanna view studio, 5508 as I recall. I was initially disappointed that we did not have an Arusha savannah room, rather we had Uzima. But as we spent time there and wandered up and down the halls, I came to be glad. From our balcony we had an unobstructed view 2-300 yards across to the enclosure perimeter. We always had some sort of animal view including Giraffe very day. To echo what was said previously, looking from the hallway in our area into the Arusha savannah we mostly saw the tops of trees, and our view was limited to the area immediately below our vantage point(s).
