AKL is AWESOME!!

Hi, Just got back on Wednesday night from a wonderful trip to WDW. The weather wasn't great. Lighting was BAD, but we had a wonderful time. We stayed at AKL , and was upgraded from a standard view to a pool view. WE had a king bed.
The drive to the parks didn't seem very long at all. We did decide to rent a car. If we go to the world in Oct we will surely go back to AKL.

Did you feel like the car was absolutely necessary? Did you feel isolated from the rest of WDW? How much time did you spend in the resort and did the location keep you from visiting WDW places you might otherwise have?
