AKL, has anyone stayed there?

My mom and I are going on a Disney trip sometime in may, and we were thinking about staying in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Has anyone stayed there? If so, did you like it? From what I have read it soungs reeelly cool.

P.S. Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach - Which has the coolest slides?

yup ive stayed at the AKL and loved every minute of my stay. Its so much fun, i love the pool and being able to look at the animals.

ive stayed there, its my moms favorite resort. i like the resturaunt and i loved having the animals so close to your room.

I stayed there last trip the pool is pretty big and its fun to watch the animals. And about bb or tl i would pick blizzard beach because it has a BIG!!! slide. It drops steeper then Splash Mountain.

When we drove up to the AKL in feb, my jaw dropped...it's so goregous. I dont think I could ever close my mouth in how beautiful the whole grounds are....Everyday was an adventure there: rushing to the balcony just after we woke up to see what animals we could see, walking down to Mara for some coffee, Walking through the lobby is an incredible journey by the beauty of it. And my favorite part was Boma. There is no way to fully describe how wonderful and delicious the food was there.

my mom and I are staying in it for 1 nite.... we'll be there may 25th.

BB is better because of summit plummit. HUGE slide, if you decide to go there be prepared for a wedgie!!!!
