I tried doing a search, but I couldn't find information on this.. A while back I read that there was a DVC member reception at Animal Kingdom Lodge that lasted about an hour and there was a drawing for a prize at the end? ? Has anyone gone to this and can you tell me if this is still going on? Thank you

It was in jan. held on tues or at least that's when we went. We got a letter inviting us a few days at home before our trip. We signed up at the Dvc desk. We mingled and had unlimited snacks and drinks and even a coconut rum drink

We are staying there late April, maybe we'll get an invite! I could use a coconut rum drink right now though!

We were there in December and due to a child issues I tried to show up a half hour late only to be told that I couldn't go in. So I had a choice - argue with the dvc rep or go back to my family upstairs. (All while watching other folk refilling their drinks and chatting)

The family won. Point of the story is if you want to go, don't go late.

(The funny part is that I was planning on adding on at AKV and was trying to talk to someone about the advantages of direct over resale that was an actual owner. Wasn't able too because of the DVC salesperson.)

There is a sign for it by the WDW Transportation. Will let you know what day it's currently on when I leave Epcot!

We did it 2/13 of this year. We were actually staying at Kidani, and there was either an extra flyer in our checkin packet or it was on the scheduled activities sheet, not sure. I know we did need to rsvp.

We weren't really thinking about it, but then we were at MK that day, did a bunch in the morning, had lunch at CRT, and then just sort of lost the will to be there at MK. Noticed that the timing was decent. DH found the closest DVC kiosk and they were able to sign him up (I think they called over? not sure), we got out of the park, found a cab, and went over to Jambo.

DS had the BEST time in the childcare spot (which was the slightly downstairs area with drumming and some activities), DH and I got to play with grownups and have little snacks and beverages, and we didn't win the drawing (sadness). It was fun!
