AKL - Did I make a mistake??

Just booked a SV studio at AKL and chose Jambo house. Sorta decided this last min. and didn't research which was a better location for viewing the animals - Jambo House or Kandani Village? Also - any suggestions for a location to request at Jambo? I know there's no guarantee but would like to at least put a request in. TIA for your help!

I prefer the studios at Jambo because they have two sinks in the dressing area. I like the Arusha savannah because I think it's easy to use the elevators to go down to the Mara or the pool.

Actually SV's at Kidani I feel are much much better as you can get a lower floor, at Jambo you are only going to get floor 5 or 6 which are DVC designated.
The lower the floor the closer the will be....in addition, you will also be able to see them if they are under trees. At Jambo, since you are higher up, trees tops do block some views until the animals move.

I was in Zebra Trail at Jambo House in May and the view was spectacular. The walk from the elevators was very long though. If you don't mind that, Zebra Trail is a great location.

We have stayed at both Jambo and Kidani. Our family likes Jambo better. We are not in the room that much, we are the commando park family. We really like Mara and the closeness of the Jambo House.
However, if we were to go for a lesuirly trip we would pick Kidani. The pool is really nice. The Hospitality House and the activities are only at Kidani as well as a very nice work out room. The one thing we did not like was how far from the lobby our room was. We realized the second day that our room was actually closer to Jambo House on the walk way than walking to the Kadani gift shop to refill our sodas. The also don't have the CS option other than a small grill at the pool when it is open.

We LOVED our savanna view room on Zebra trail at Jambo! We had doxens of animals out there all day because it had a watering hole, and we were right above it. I actually liked being higher up so we could see more animals. I have a good zoom lens on my camera, so I got some amazing pictures on that trip!

I will second this. My son would half-jokingly buy a water in the gift shop on the way back to the room because he said he might need on on such a long trek...

Absolutely loved studio on Zebra trail. I think it was 5432. Great viewing and very convenient to elevators, lobby, Mara and pool. Originally we were given a room on the sunset savannah. We moved because it was a mile long walk and looked at the pen where they bring the animals.

I've stayed at both and for a studio I would pick Jambo. As mentioned, the bathroom setup is better. Having counter service there is a plus.

On the other side - if you have a car, the parking is better at Kidani. Busses stop first at Kidani.
