AKL Devloper Points question

Does everyone who buys into AKL get developer points? We just bought in last week and when I called member services, they said we are not getting developer points, when i was under the assumption we are. My guide hasnt returned my call. Also we arent receving any incenitive besides the credit per point. We were told we would also receive that visa card after we close. And we are disney visa card holders and were not told about using that for the 500 reward dollars.

We just bought on Monday 6/16/08 and returned our paperwork yesterday. These are the incentives that we got and from what I understand from our guide are standard:

-2008 points to either use this year or bank to next year
-matching developer points with 160 point buy in
-$8 off per point which will show up on your paper work as a developer credit and be deducted from your total purchase price.
-$500 disney visa rewards card (you have to put your down payment on your disney visa card to receive this.

You definately want a guide that calls you back when your making a commitment like this. I know when I call my guide I fully expect him to call me back ASAP unless of course his message states that he is out for the day or something like that. Our guide is great a really nice guy and very prompt in answering our questions. If I were you I would give your guide a call again and if you still can't get hold of him/her then ask to speak to someone else.

Wow! We just purchased May 21st and didn't get the $500 disney rewards card. Anyone know when that benefit started being offered?

Yes, we closed already. Oh, well...who needs $500 anyway!!!

Did you buy Kidani or Jambo - I believe that only Kidani is offering the incentive SSR developer points in lieu of not being available until May '09.

Most guides won't return calls on their days off & as the dvc office is open 7 days a week the guide's days off may vary. You can call the main number to find out if they're in.

Might be worth a call anyway. You never know they may give it to you .

BTW - we bought jambo in order to get the April UY and we did get developer points.

I had problems on my account, wrong paperwork, errors, wrong socials so on and so forth. Been a headache for a while now. Thats why I got those.
