Hi! Can anyone tell me where to find pictures or in what area of the resort these rooms are? Are they spread out among the floors, or all they all on the top floor? Are they bigger than the regular rooms? Any info would be appreciated!

I spoke to someone at Reservations a few days ago and he did tell me the "deluxe rooms" are larger, which is nice as the AKL regular rooms are fairly small. "Pool View" is a great category as the location of the pool guarantees you'll be close to the lobby and all the restaurants, but sorry I am not sure about the floors. I bet at that area of the resort there are only 3 floors of rooms. Hope this helps.

I think we were on the 5th floor when we had that view and it was fantastic..we loved it and would definately do deluxe pool view again!

I remember seeing some of the info you wanted on AllEars.net. Sure enough, standard rooms are 344 feet and on levels up to 4. Deluxe rooms are 381 feet and on levels 5 and 6. There are only 33 pool view deluxe rooms.

do you know if there is a location which would put you close to the elevators, probably on the Mara side is where I'd like to be to have easier access to the laundry.

If they are deluxe pool view they have to be on the Mara side of the resort in the middle of the right "leg" of the horseshoe. The deluxe rooms are larger then the standard and I am pretty sure they are on the 5th floor and maybe the 6th but those would be concierge.

We were in rooms 5466 and 5468 in Oct 2004 and both had two beds, a table and two chairs plus a nice sofa arm chair between one of the beds and the patio doors. According to the AKL map these are top floor rooms, but I thought we had another floor above us. Anyway the rooms we had were near the elevator that took us down to the pool level and a short walk across to the Mara.

Here is the view from our room -

First off, Thank you for posting that picture because I had that room or one down from it back in April of 05. It was a deluxe pool view room, 5th floor and it had bunk beds, two queen beds, plus a sofa/daybed. I remember that view and it was fantastic. I loved seeing that picture. Thanks!
