AKL December 2007

I'm getting a bit nervous about my decision. I have read on these boards about construction going on at AKL and about people being moved from AKL to other resorts. My question is has this happened to anyone booked in December?

I have not yet made final payment to AAA and wonder whether I should call and change resorts? Also if I booked through AAA and Disney wanted to move us, would they call direct or make the change through AAA?

I think the Beach Club is about the same price, but my kids are animal nuts and I thought they'd love AKL. Any opinions or thoughts?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Disney isn't likely to have an entire resort of of commission during December as the week between Christmas and New Year's is their busiest week of the year. They'll need that space, so I'm sure they plan to be open by then. Even if they're not, they'll likely call and offer you an upgrade at which point you can tell them you'd like to be moved to the Beach Club.

I also wouldn't worry about it. If the resort is still closed down for construction you will be moved at no additional charge.
