AKL Concierge Experience?

I stayed at AKL on the Concierge floor as a kid and have some great memories. So taking my mom back there for a girl's weekend in November. I've seen some mixed reviews over the past few days about the Concierge service not being the "Disney standard". Has anyone stayed there recently? Also looking for tips on how to tell her where we are staying the day we head down there, as it is booked as a surprise right now, although she knows we are staying somewhere on property.

We loved it, stayed in April, haven't heard of any issues. Loved it so much we are doing it again in a few weeks.

If you stayed AKL Concierge before the villas were created in Jambo house, you were either on the fifth or sixth floor. Those are all DVC villas now, so you'll be on the fourth floor.

We stayed club level at AKL in 2016 and we were just there again this past May. I hope we can continue to make it a yearly event. We love it. We really enjoy the food offerings. The CM's are always attentive and seem genuinely happy to be of service. I don't know what the negative comments were, so I can't address them directly.

We are staying AKL club level in a few months. Any recommendations for room requests? Are all of the club level rooms close to the lobby? I know they are all 4th floor, but am I sure as to how spread out they are. Should we request to be near the lobby or elevator? Would love to hear you thoughts! Thanks!

I think I just responded to you on another thread too. AKL CL is one of the more confusing CLs to figure out given the location of the lounge, the rooms, and how spread out the resort is in general. If you don't get much traction here, definitely hit up the CL thread. Have a great trip! (Sorry I can't be of more help)
