Akl Conceirge ?

I am stayin 2 nights in AKL conceirge room(for sunrise safari) in December value season and I have requested a savannah view has anyone every requested savannah view and gotten a pool view?I will be very unhappy paying all that money for a poolview,also has anyone also been unable to get to go on the sunrise safari?I will try and book it 90 days out but I was wondering if anyone hasn't been able to book the safari during value season and if it is harder to book on weekends.

If you book the Sunrise Safari 90 days out you should have no problem. As an FYI, I've been able to request it even before that point.

I've stayed CL at AKL three times and always had a savannah view. If you request a smoking room you won't have the savannah view though.

I have had pool view at AKL and it really is beautiful. Of course, we had been upgraded from standard view.
For some reason I didn't think you could request view for concierge.

We stayed at AKL-Concierge level during a MVMCP last November. It was wonderful!

I sent all of my ps's to the concierge cast members and they got each and every one! They even had the safari booked, but we changed our minds and cancelled it.

We had a savannah view - I did request it.

I would wake up early, go get a couple cups of coffee, a chocolate croissant (or two)...take the USA Today and sit on the porch watching the animals and enjoying a very peaceful hour. It was heavenly!

When you request a room with a veiw you are paying for you will get it. You may not get room 305 if you ask for it...but you will get the room you pay for. We had the Savannah view Concierge... we payed more for it. One thing to note all the rooms on the Conierge Area are all pool view. You have a long hike from the Savannah. I think we had to take an elevator too.

Thanks for all the information,I requested a non smoking concierge savannah king room,and I will try and call them sooner than 90 days out for the safari,hopefully they will talk to me because I booked my trip through AAA,I would hate to ask my AAA agent to do the calling for me.

Actually, you could conceivably get a pool view concierge room. However, I don't think that happens very frequently.

Concierge rooms are on the 5th and 6th floors. All the rooms on the 6th floor are concierge. There are 6 rooms on the right side of the lobby that are pool view. I have read that these are smoking rooms. There are 9 more rooms on the left side over looking the Sunset Savannah. I have also read that the view is not as good as the 5th floor Arusha Savannah. These room however are very convienent to the lounge. Since it is reported to be 55 concierge rooms the remaining 40 are on the 5th floor on the Zebra or Kudu trail (deluxe rooms). If you look at the map you will see what I am talking about.

If you request Non-Smoking, Arusha Savannah, King Bed you should have a great room.

Kata, I hope you have a great trip. AKL is great and the concierge is added bonus. We really enjoyed the Surise Safari. The concierge planners do a great job, so let them make a few of those hard PS for you (for example... CRT!) They should send you a packet of info before the 90 days but if it doesn't get to you for some reason just send them a email and let them know what you would like.
