AKL conceirge help

I have reservations for AKL savannah view. I just heard about the Sunrise Safari. So I am wondering if it's possible to upgrade to conceirge for 1 night so that we can book the safari. I would stay in my same room, I don't need a special conceirge room or anything. Has anyone done this?

How would I go about it? I've had to make some changes to my resrevaation with the WDW reserrvation team and let me just say that it was.......very painful. Can I call AKL to make the change?

You would probably have to change rooms for the night as Concierge has a certain block of rooms. Now, you would need to work with central reservations. AKL doesn't get the info until a few days before your stay. You can always ask upon check-in. Sometimes you get the ungrade at a nominal cost (not always). I guess it depends on how important the Safari is to you.

hmm... i guess i should see if i can still get a reservation for the sunrise safari first. If there was no opening it woulfn't be worth the discussion. I guess i do that with central reservation too?

Would switching from regular to concierge in the middle of the trip be a new reserrvation. That would probably screw up my dinning and tickets huh?

It seems there should be an easy way for this. I feel like I've heard people doing it, but I can't find any details.

I have many emails back and forth at this address....

That address is a courtesy e-mail address for guests with existing club level reservations. Maybe it's bouncing back because you don't have a reservation with them . You may want to call the resort directly and see if they can give you any information over the phone before you decide to upgrade.
