What can I expect? Is it worth the extra points? We will be there from Aug 22 to the 28th, 2011.

This will be our first time staying at club level. We booked a studio at AKL . It is just 3 of us so I did not see a need for a larger room. The one thing I will miss having though is the washer and dryer.

DH and I enjoyed a CL AKV stay last week. We enjoyed the breakfast offerings with the fresh fruit. There were blueberries, and watermelon, cantalope, and pineapple slices and more. The snacks were good in the PM and we enjoyed a glass of wine or two in the early evenings when wine was offered. I noted that people asked for a bottle of beer throughout the day, so if you want something when it's not "time" don't hesitate to ask for it.

I have 4 nights CL in April with my DSis and we're going to do the Sunrise Safari.

I especially like to stay at Jambo, so every so often, I treat myself to CL.

We really enjoyed our two CL stays. Just don't go in expecting the best views. CL is for the concierge services, daily mousekeeping, and access to special tours.

It is worth the extra points, the difference is not very big at all. I love staying there. It is my favorite place and I book it every chance I get. The snacks are great and walking right outside your door to get a drink all day long is awesome. They used to have better offerings but it is still good now.

I would agree that it is worth the points. It is nice especially with kids to be able to go and pick up a snack or a drink at any time. We stayed there in June and have managed to get 2 of the 3 days I want for our April trip.

Here is a view from our room

I would only do it to have access to the Sunrise Safari. Otherwise, I would go for a guaranteed savannah view.

We booked at 7 months for April 6 to April 10 and could only get AKL Savannah Club Studio level for Friday and Saturday. We have AKL Studio savannah view for Wednesday and Thursday. We already booked our Sunrise Safari for April 10th the day we go on the DREAM, and my 65th birthday. We didn't want to change rooms, but could only get CL for 2 of 4 nights.

It's definitely worth the extra points for the convenience, but not so much for the views. Pool view is better than savanna view in CL. The best thing about CL is being able to book the special CL safaris and tours.

I did not mind doing laundry in the laundry room at all. It's nice, clean and was not crowded at all. There is a TV in there if you want to sit and babysit your laundry.

We will be there at Easter and can't wait. We were there 2 years ago and loved it. We had a safari view, and it was a little disappointing since the roof hangs over. I am so looking forward to our stay in April! :)

It's all about the Sunrise Safari in my opinion. Otherwise, I would go for the view or try Kidani.

Keep in mind that we are no longer allowed to make a view request for CL. You might get a pool view or a savanna view.

Everyone should stay at CL at least once. Some think it's worth it others don't. We enjoy it as a special treat.

::yes:: Or a value studio that gets a savannah view. Right now I'm in a value studio, and when I sit on my balcony, I can see the CL rooms-so they're getting the exact same view for lots more points. I'd like to do the sunrise safari though. Just stay away from a value studio that week, that's the same week I want to come back, and I want a value studio left for me.
