AKL club level question

I am new to DVC so I have a question about AKL club level reservations:
I have a reservation for AKL 2 BR CL in March but have just found out that my parents will not be able to join us. Can we cancel the reservation and immediately rebook a 1 BR AKL CL? I see that the 2 BR are lock offs so I did not know if this was possible. TIA

The only way to do it is cancel 2BR and then attempt to reserve 1BR if it is available. It is not. Your cancellation will immediately go to someone on the wait-list. In other words, you do not get any preference in that cancellation and rebooking and if you cancel you immediately go to the back of the line in getting that 1BR and for CL that will be impossible to get.
