AKL Cashless allowing gift card on MB?

Since AKL is doing the cashless test and you can do a cash deposit on your room. Will they also allow a gift card deposit? We always use our magic bands and just pay off the room charges with Disney gift cards but it would make it so much easier if we could just load up the gift cards before hand. Didn't know if this was an option now.

Why not just use the gift card to pay for your purchases?

Just don't like carrying them around I pretty much go wallet-less when I am at Disney. I carry my ID and DVC membership card.

If you dont want to carry your GC's you can go to the front desk every few days and pay your balance with them.

that's what we do now. I would just like to pre-load them instead.
