AKL busses

It's our first time staying at AKL and I was wondering how the bus situation rates to/from AKL. I've heard that AKL is a bit removed from the center of things. How long generally can you expect to travel to the parks? Do busses make many stops along the way, or pretty much run you straight to where you want to go?

Just arrived home from a week at WDW, stayed at CB Sat-Wed and then moved to AKL for Wed-Sun. Took the buses everywhere. All of our routes were direct from the hotel to the park, except for last night when they stopped at AK to pick up before taking us to Epcot. The trip to Downtown Disney seemed to take forever - my daughter and I both fell asleep while DH chatted with the driver, and the trip to the MK was longer than most bus routes. It probably took 10-15 min to get to Epcot and MGM, 20 to MK and DD. It is a little more removed from the other parks, except for AK, but we added 10-15 minutes to our travel plans and everything was fine.

We were at AKL just after it opened and the bus service was spotty. The next time we stayed there, the bus service was much better. Some of the rides seem long becasue AKL is comparatively isolated.

Have fun. AKL is one of our favorite places to stay. Be sure to have some zebra domes at Boma.
