AKL bunk bed rooms

There used to be a post (no search engine now) saying which were the bunk bed rooms on the concierge floors of AKL...does anyone know?

That answer will be on one of the old lizard lounge threads. I don't remember which addition! Remember, getting a room in a non concierge area might also be an option if the bunks are very important but those rooms are filled. I am rarely in the "proper" area when staying concierge, but I've always loved my room location! *way out on the ends!*

My family is going in late March next year and I had emailed the concierge the very question because my daughter absolutely wants a bunkbed. Here is the info I got back from concierge: There are 15 rooms on the 6th floor and only 2 have bunkbeds! She informed me that there are more bunkbeds room on 5th floor and we will have better chance of getting those. But she did put that request in our file and will try to get us one on the 6th floor but obviously not guarantee. I would prefer to be on the same floor as concierge lounge but most likely we will have take the 5th floor room since bunkbed is number one priority on my daughter's list.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday my family were in florida and visited with my middle brother. He works for Disney in the video production department. One of the great things about having a relative that works for Disney is the availablity to get discounts on special event tickets, free entry into the parks, discounts on souvenirs, and discounted rates for hotels.

My wife asked if he could get us a room for one night at Animal Kingdom Lodge. He was able to get us a one night stay on Dec 2nd and got us a 4th floor room. When I checked in the CM told me it was a no smoking room and that would not due because of the wife. The CM checked and found no other smoking rooms available ( as she put it in a great location as our orginal room ). After looking for a while she did find a queen / bunkbed room on the 4th floor [ room 4981 ] and it was in a great location to see the animals coming into the savana.

Having stayed at many rooms at Disney ( all star music, wilderness lodge, dixi landings, port orleans, and fort wilderness ) I found the AKL to be one of the best ever.
