Just wondering if anyone could make suggestions as to the best locations for standard view AKL rooms?

I know the locations aren't optimal, but just wondered if one floor or building area is more quiet or or has a better view (less objectionable view)?

Thanks!!

We had standard view rooms at AKL last month. We were on the 3rd floor ostrich trail. Our rooms were in front of the handicap parking but not far enough down to be directly by the cars. These rooms were wonderful. The view wasn't bad at all from our balconies. Lots of trees and bushes. They were very quiet and on the same floor as the Lobby so quickly reached when we got back from the parks dead tired. LoL The room numbers were 3123, 3125, 3127. 25 & 27 connected and 3125 was a king room with a sofa couch. Not far down the hall was a big window that overlooked the savannah and there are plenty of animal viewing areas throughout the lodge. We loved our stay there and are going back next trip. Have a wonderful time!

I decided to upgrade us to AKL from POR. I am booking standard view as we wont spend that much time in our room, and can view the animals from the overlook areas. Kids will probably want to be in the pool majority of stay:cool: First time at a deluxe Wooohooo!!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I didn't use the pool but my family did. They loved it. I don't think they have ever raved about a WDW pool like they did that one. My DH and I did go to the pool bar and have a drink by the pool. Just gorgeous around there at night. Next trip I'm going to get a pool view room so I can sit on the balcony and watch everyone. You all will love AKL!

Thanks for sharing your experience!

I have stayed at AKL, but have previously had a Savanna view room which was wonderful. This time I was wanting to take advantage of thelow AP rates since we just built a new house and have a lot of expenses.

Anyone ever stay in one of the handicap accessible rooms @ AKL? I'll also be checking the Disabilities Board; we were told that there are no rooms on the 1st floor. Thanks for any info. Cathie
