AKL before or after offsite?

We are booked in a 1 bedroom suite at AKL. This resort is my DH's favorite and we wanted to do the sunrise safari. We are booked for 4 nites and am sure there will be no discounts for this room type. We are going the end of Nov for 10 nights. Origanally we were going to split w/ the BWI, however since our sitter is coming we will need 2 rooms. The AKL is rather expensive, but it is what we really want. So I just booked the new Ritz Carlton for the remaining 6 nights. My DH likes to stay in nice hotels, and not neccessarily on site. We got a great rate at the Ritz. ( how bad can a Ritz be) Well anyway my question is which would you do 1st on or off? When we are offiste we will be doing other things, DH will be golfing, I will be shopping and sitter will be sitting!!!
