AKL and spotting animals

If we are dining at AKL is there any chance we will be able to spot some of the animals?

You probably won’t be able to see animals from the restaurants, but there are viewing areas throughout the resort. You can walk around the pool area and on the paths behind the lobby and have a strong chance of seeing animals during daylight hours and some chance at night.

If it's daylight and you dine at Sanaa, you're likely to see animals on the savanna while you eat. Otherwise, you'll need to walk to one of the many observation areas to view them.

If you go to the back of the Jambo lobby there is an outdoor viewing area of the savanna. You can see a lot of animals there typically. I like to stop by when I’m dining there

Also,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a complimentary opportunity to view the savanna at night using night vision goggles.

This viewing takes place in Kidani Village at the Sunset Overlook.

This is exactly what to do. If it is prime Dinner time the animals are fed Both at Kidani and Jambo in the area so they gather in that area. There will also be guides to answer questions.
