Ok, this is probably a strange question...

Going through looking at DVC purpose of renting, the one bedrooms (except Value) come up as 5 people rooms.

Going through Disney's website, looking at the 1 bedrooms (I think it was club level) they were 6 people rooms.

Anyone know what the difference is?

According to the website, the lodge suites have a bedroom with 2 queen beds and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room.

The DVC rooms have 1 king bed in the bedroom. The living room has a queen size sofa sleeper and a single pull out chair.

The villas on the sixth floor of Jambo House are the concierge level villas. They are five two bedroom lockoffs. Three are savanna view (with a somewhat blocked view of the Sunset Savanna blocked by the roof overhang) and two are pool view. These get booked up at 11 months out exactly by members who own at AKV.

The fifth floor is also DVC villas (there might be a few of the AKL Suites on this floor as well). This floor used to be the deluxe rooms that slept five before they were converted to villas (studios, one bedroom, two bedroom and grand villas). The value one bedroom villas only sleep four with no sleeper chair because those rooms are smaller. The standard and savanna view one bedroom villas sleep five with the addition of the sleeper chair. I think all the one bedrooms have a studio connected to the one bedroom (to make a two bedroom lockoff).

Kidani Village is all DVC villas with a different layout from the Jambo House renovated hotel rooms. They all have the extra bathroom just off the entrance to the living room (but not the studios).

DVC one bedroom villas and Disney one bedroom suites are two different kinds of rooms. The one bedroom suites can only be booked through Disney and not with DVC points.

At AKV, the only time you can have six people in the one bedroom is if one is under the age of three. Otherwise you are limited to five people - one king bed, one queen sleeper sofa and one twin sized sleeper chair. And you cannot have five in a value one bedroom villa.
