AKL - 9 days - Down to single digits!

Okay so the kids really want to go to Universal for Harry Potter. Well, I have decided the best day for them to go would be Monday, Magic Kingdom Day. So I plan on purchasing the ticket with the round trip transportation included for Michaela (who will be the adult in charge), Courtney, Skylar, and Jacob. I may also get them the express pass but haven't decided if I am willing to fork over an extra $200 for that.

I need to do some research on the crowd levels and meal costs over there. I have a pre-paid debit card that I will send them with but I will also give them a budget for food and souveniers.

Day Three - Tuesday

Lunch: We are scheduled for lunch at Sci-Fi at 11:40 which is actually the time that they get out of the YES class so I may try to see if I can switch the day to tomorrow. The kids really want to eat at Sci-Fi.

Yeah. I was able to switch my reservations so no running back and forth. On this day we will be having lunch at the Biergarten at 12:15.

Day 4: DHS

Today we will head off to DHS. I plan on getting there at rope drop and obtaining our GAD passes. We will head to TSM and ride stand-by and then proceed to get fastpasses.

I was able to switch our lunch plans around for this day and we will be eating at the SCI-FI DINE IN at 11:00 AM. After lunch we will probably hit a few more rides and then some will head back to the resort for R&R.

Dinner tonight is at CAPE MAY CLAM BAKE We are all excited about this one. Well most of us anyway. We have a couple of non seafood lovers.

After dinner we will head back to DHS to use up any fast passes and enjoy EMH.

Okay so in my list of characters there are a few people who I didn't introduce.

Michaela's Mom is my older sister. Eleven months ago when I booked this trip I told her the dates and let her know if she wanted to go she needed to make arrangements because I didn't have enough points to cover her room this year.

Well, for the last eleven months she kept saying she was going to go but never booked a room. so I made dining reservations and plans based on our 9 people.

A couple of days ago I asked her are you going or not. She informed me that she couldn't possibly go without her new boyfriend of less than a month. I said you know this is a family thing but left it at that.

Well, honestly I am totally uncomfortable with sharing my vacation with a complete stranger. I have never even met this guy. I have no desire to even have him around.

I know I can't tell her she can't come to Orlando that's her decision. But what I would like to do is tell her if he is around to not bother coming around the family.

What would you do?

Hey if they want to come I would not change your ADR's just yet. Meet him first - maybe he is the one?! and you will love him. If not, just tell them you can't change your plans, and maybe just do some park touring, etc. with them but be firm on your plans and they might just want to do their own lovey dovey thing on their own !

I see we will be at AKV the same time! I have a 2 bedroom savannah at Jambo house! I also have an "older" hubby with older kids then mine (see my signature) and we will be married 3 year on Wednesday! He is so wonderful to my kids - he is just amazing! I can't wait for this trip - maybe we will meet up somewhere! Here are my ADRs-

So about a month ago I got an email from Vera Bradley and picked up this style of purse, the mini hipster:

The first pattern, night and Day is actually my favorite. And about a week ago I could have kicked myself. They had the Night and Day Hipster on sale for $29 and I completley missed the email. Now they are out of them.

I have to give a big shout out to Lynn5700. It was through her trip reports that I learned of the Vera Bradley purses. So thank you. They are so cute and practical too.

Meant to mention that I did get the hipster on the day of the $29 sale in Simply Violet! I love it! My dd's are all jealous! Did you see the backpack sale for today? I HAD a mini hipster and small backpack in Raspberry fizz that I purchased for this trip but my two youngest dd's claimed it - so the purple hipster is mine - of course they are whining about that too!

So I took advantage of the 4th to practice shooting fireworks. Of course there was no pretty castle to anchor my photos. Here are a few:

There was no feasible way to get rid of the power lines. I would have had to stand in a big field by a really busy six lane road. Now there were people who did it but, NOT me.

So a little update on the situation. So I tried to go and talk to my Sis but she was unvailable for the last week so today I sent her an email. I let her know that I wasn't comfortable sharing my hard earned and planned vacation with a total stranger. I also talked to my other niece to let her know that she was welcome to come and spend the days with us and eat with us.

So my Sis called me tonight and told me "Oh that's okay. Boyfriend is not really into crowds anyway so we will just see you maybe."
HELLO, who in their right mind would go to WDW in the middle of the summer when they don't like crowds.

Oh awesome. Yes, I do hope we get to meet. I noticed you had teens/pre-teens.

While I am trying to balance everything I also want to really get the most out of the resort. It is truly a wonderful place full of art, artifacts, and activities.

That's one of the things on my to-do list is to make a lime green mickey head with my screen name on it to go on my park bag.

On the subject of my Sis. If this was a first I may be more accepting but it seems like every six months or so she is in LOVE with a new man.

Today the kids need to be at DHS for their Youth Education Class. I had originally signed Courtney up for the Career Discovery class but it didn't make so they are now all going to Animation Magic.

I have to check them in at DHS but I haven't decided if I will go to this with them or go to AK for the morning.

We have breakfast scheduled at Donalds for 10:45 AM. If I don't go with the kids this morning I will use the time to explore the trails and the conservation station. We will also use a regular fast pass to do the Safari ride.

Once they meet up with us at about 11 AM we will get our GAD fast passes and proceed to use them.
