AKL- 2BR villa- Value vs. Standard?

Can anyone tell me the difference between a value 2 bedroom villa, and a standard 2 bedroom villa, at Animal Kingdom Lodge?

Are the value villas only at the main Jambo House building? Or do they also have them at Kidani?

Value villas are only at Jambo. They are all lock offs, they are all smaller by 3 feet, they only have sleeping for 8 ( too small for the sleeper chair in the living room) and since they are at Jambo they only have 2 full baths. ( They are a bargain, I have 1 in September!)

If you get a standard 2 bedroom in Kidani you can reserve a dedicated. Dedicated means it will have 2 queens in the second bedroom. in Jambo there are no dedicated 2 bedrooms.

In Kidani all 2 bedrooms will have 3 full bathrooms, in Jambo, all 2 bedrooms have 2 full bathrooms.

Standard view in Jambo means pool or a bit of savannah view. In Kidani, you could see the parking lot, the pool, or maybe a bit of a Savannah.

Thank you! We stayed in a 1 BR last time, at Kidani, and were going to do that this time... but now my mom is coming, so we'll have 4 adults, a 12 year old, and a 4 year old. I think that should be plenty of space... We'd have to stay 1-2 nights less if we got the "Standard" 2 BR.

I think I would rather stay at Jambo House anyways, the only thing I didn't like about Kidani was that they didn't have enough food options....

So, if you stay at Jambo House, can you use the pool at Kidani?

Yes, you can use either pool.

It's operated as one resort with two buildings. As a guest of AKL/AKV, you can use any of the standard amenities at either building.

Both buildings have their own front desk, so you check-in at the location where you are staying.

You will need to book right at the 11 month mark to get a 2 br value unit, well any value unit. They go very fast.

I thought about that too... right now it's about 10.5 months out, but we can't book yet because we are using more points that we purchased resale, and we have about 30 days until that goes through.

I guess it's not a big deal if we have to get a standard... we can always just pay for a room somewhere for 1-3 nights.... but I'm still hoping for that value!
