Hi Disboard experts,

I have yet to go on my second trip (coming up in 3 weeks) and I am already planning my third. Next time around, I would love to stay in a 2 bedroom suite at AKL, preferrably a lock-off, and I have a few questions.

- Are these suites located in Jambo or Kidani? Are they savannah view?

- What would be the sleeping arrangements? My understanding is that in the 1 bedroom I would have a pull out sofa, a pull out chair, and a bed in the bedroom. In the studio, what would I have?

- How far in advance can I book this room type if I rent points? What about directly from Disney?

- Are these rooms hard to get?

This would be my dream trip and I want to go all out. Thanks for your feedback.

-Both Jambo and Kidani have lock-offs; you can either get standard view (pool view) or savannah view (more points required)
-the studios are 1Qn bed and a sofa sleeper
-it depends on when you plan to go
-our first 2bd stay is this year:banana:...we have a dedicated booked at Kidani standard view and booked in Feb

- Are these suites located in Jambo or Kidani? Are they savannah view?

both jambo and kidani. you can book the sav view if it is available. (remember that the villas at jambo are all on the 5th floor while kidani is all villas.)

BTW, it's probably better to distinguish between suites and villas. villas are more like condos. you would get a full kitchen and washer/dryer.

- What would be the sleeping arrangements? My understanding is that in the 1 bedroom I would have a pull out sofa, a pull out chair, and a bed in the bedroom.

there are some "value" 1BRs in jambo that do not have the sleeper chair.

also, all of the 1BRs in kidani have 2 bathrooms - making for 3 bathrooms in the 2BR villas.

How far in advance can I book this room type if I rent points? What about directly from Disney?

11 months out if you rent a points reservation. direct booking options vary.

- Are these rooms hard to get?

if you book early at close to 11 months out, no. but if you rent a pts reservation, cancellation options may be limited or nonexistent.

All the two bedroom villas at Jambo House are lockoffs. None are dedicated.

Also, suites are different from villas. I don't think suites are ever lockoffs.

Thanks, everyone. I also need to beef up my research!

I would prefer to book through Disney, rather than rent points. I stayed in one of the villas a boardwalk before and am fine with a villa. Really enjoyed it.

Maybe a better question is what are my options for a two bedroom at AKL - both suite and villa? Also, how early can you book directly with Disney for each type.
