Thinking about celebrating my daughters 1st birthday here for breakfast.. is the cost worth it?

If your going in worrying about money than its prolly not worth it. If you want your DD to enjoy the characters and think she will really enjoy it. Than its worth it. Most Character meals are more about the characters than the food and "worth".

We really like breakfast here. It is expensive, so if you are asking about worth in the sense of "Am I going to eat $50 worth of high quality food?", then the answer is no. But, the restaurant is lovely and the princess interaction is very good. The food is good, but it isn't much different than the breakfast food served anywhere else except for the cheesy potato casserole - that is delicious and unique to Akershus.

It's a fantastic value if you're on the dining plan, not as much if you're paying OOP. I wouldn't pay for it for a 1 year old, speaking for myself, but a 3-5 year old? Absolutely.

Its the best princess dining experience on property if thats what your after. We enjoy the food but its more "normal" food at breakfast and more unique food at lunch and dinner. I have to agree at one your old might not be able to soak it all in, but you know your child best.

The character interaction is pretty good. We had some really good interaction with Snow White last time. My 19 month old son was eating an orange and would not give it up to get his photo taken with Snow White. The food is also tasty...the cheesy potatoes are delicious.

Just an FYI, you don't have to pay for the 1 yr old. My 19 month old was not charged just a few weeks ago. He technically ate off of my plate.

Hmm, that's a good point. I was thinking more was the 1 year old going to care/remember, but since all kids under 3 are free it's probably a great time to go if *you* actually want to go.

We had my cousin with us who wanted to do a Disney Princess meal, and I wasn't paying the crazy CRT prices!

Honestly Akershus is better for really young kids who cant sit still yet anyway. CRT is more formal. You have a longer wait time there. You have the staged photo op you have to wait for.
