Akershus requiring credit card guarantee

Is this something new or has it always happened?

I just made our first reservation ever for Akershus breakfast and they required a cc guarantee. I thought the only places that did that was two service places such as CRT, etc.

Just wondering.

I'm sure their might be a few others but for the majority, including Chef Mickey, no.

BBB required a CC as well. Not sure why but I guess maybe because of the same issues.

Yes you're right. BBB and the pirate cruise required it also. I made those yesterday. I just have heard a few times on here that only CRT requires it for hte princess meals. The CM said it wasn't new for Akershus to require the cc guarantee. Oh well. The ressie is made and we WILL be there!

When Akershus added the photo package in April I believe they required the CC guarantee

This policy for Akershus has been in place since 2005 when it went princess.

Akershus, California Grill and Victoria & Albert's require a credit card to hold the reservation. If you don't show up and don't cancel, you're charged a no-show fee. They also do this for special dining packages, like Fantasmic Dinner or Candlelight Processional.

CRT and the dinner shows require payment in full at time of booking unless you tell them when you book that you will be paying with dining plan credits. If you're on the dining plan they will take your credit card to hold the reservation.

Chef Mickey's does not require a credit card hold.
