I want to see the princesses on my trip! (my fave is Jasmine!) and I think this might be the best way to do it since I am going during Easter and it will be mobbed. Has anyone been here? Which meal would you recommend? I'm thinking lunch or dinner...thoughts? pictures? thanks!!

I tried to book a couple of different dates right after Easter Sunday and it was booked.:sad2:

Yes, I got the last breakfast reservation for March 25th when I booked 180 days out!

We loved the princess breakfast in Norway! That's 5 princesses at once. Keep calling for an ADR - you never know.

When we went the breakfast was really great! THe princesses were all fab.

Once you get there and check in we did have to wait about 1/2 hr before we got in - and I am sure we had the last time slot for breakfast.

Be there for rope drop - get a few attractions in then relax with the princesses!

Keep trying you might get lucky!:wizard:

We had breakfast with the princesses a few weeks ago and really enjoyed our meal. The lunch and dinner menus just didn't do anything for us. Breakfast was all you care to eat - our server was great and kept asking what we wanted more of! The princesses were good with the two teenagers we had with us. They both had great time. Lots of pictures! We didn't buy the photo package which would have run the price of the meal up considerably. I thought that my snapshot of the girls with Belle was as good as the one the Disney photographer took.

We did the Norway princess lunch 2 years ago. I remember the food was different and the kids were not really impressed with the meal. They did love the interaction with the princesses, but not the food. I would guess the breakfast would probably be much better.

I'm trying to decide between this or 1900 Park Fare. Definitely for lunch or dinner as we're not big breakfast eaters. The food sounds interesting but I'm not sure if I would want to waste time on this when there are many other yummy sounding Epcot restaurants.

Hm..what a predicament!

(Sorry to hijack your thread, but...) if any of you have been to both can you tell me which one has better character interaction?

What kind of pics are you looking for? Breakfast is typical breakfast fare. Lunch and Dinner are not for picky eaters, though my family and I like it alot.

We went to both Akershus and 1900 Park Faire. For general princess interaction, Akershus was "better" because we had the stream of princesses come visit the table. I liked the food - kids food was decent pizza, too.

1900 PF - it was a much more entertaining "show". I guess it all depends on what you're looking for. I really liked the food at 1900 PF which really surprised me.

I have pics of both in my trip report - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1712496

My parents and I ate dinner here last week. I was a little nervous about it because my dad & I are picky eaters, but we both found something we liked (my dad LOVED his meal.) The pace of meeting the princesses was great. It felt a bit rushed last time at Crystal Palace & Chef Mickey, but seemed very calm here. My picture with Ariel didn't come out, and I was able to ask her if we could retake it. We saw Belle (the staged pic after you walk through the door), Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora, and Cinderella.

I did buy the photo package, but I did like that they let you take a pic with your own camera with Belle (sometimes if you have to pay for the pic, they don't let you take your own.) Buying the photo package, I was able to add it to photo pass, and I got 5 pics out of it, when the photo package only showed 2 (two of Belle & I, two of my dad and I with Belle, and one of Belle signing my book.)

I don't have my pics on this computer, but I can post some later today or tomorrow.

We went last year the day after easter and the kids loved it! DH and I just loved the dessert!! Here is a pic of it!!

We've done the breakfast, lunch & dinner at Akerhaus several times over the last three years. Each experience has been wonderful. My daughter liked the food duing breakfast much better than lunch & dinner. The breakfast is served family style at your table and is all you can eat. Lunch & dinner are traditional Norwegian dishes. They were okay, but we now choose breakfast.

We did lunch and had a special request (veggie). The chef came right to our table to take our order. He made a fantastic meal for my niece. Great dining experience overall. Actually one of the funniest experiences I ever had. A little girl sitting at the table next to us (probably 4yo) introduced herself to each princess as the princess. Jasmine walked up to her table and the little girl said, "Hi, I'm Jasmine", and Jasmine said wow thats my name too! And then she proceeded to say that to ALL the princesses. We practically fell out of our chairs laughing. The little girl was soooo serious. :rotfl:

We have a breakfast planned here our 1st morning in WDW!! and Cant wait... my daughter is a Princess-manic and I thought this would be a GREAT way to start out our trip!!! So she can see the princesses right off the bat!!! We are worried she will pass out or as my husband says "her head will explode"

EVERY time we go Akerhous is a must! Seeing all the characters is a highlight. Just seems like you get more bang for the buck or dining plan. We have done both breakfast and dinner; both menus were very good with DD7 & DS5.
Still can't pay the exorbinent $$$ for the photo when my camera takes the same quality photo.

That is so funny! Can I ask what they made for her? I am a veggie too so hearing that they did this makes me want to go even more! Are the same princesses at lunch as are at the other meals?

On our trip last September we had dinner here and we saw Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, Alice and Prince Ali. So only 3 real princesses.
