We will be at Disney next week. Epcot day is Tuesday the 7th. I originally planned PPO in hoping for Frozen Ever After It is our only character ADR. Planned 180 out and 8 year old DD just decides she may not be into princesses anymore. Son is 11 and is really into food, anywhere. So a character breakfast is not a necessity. I am torn about paying over $200 for a breakfast that may not be appreciated. Unfortunately it is a little late in the game for switching ADRs. But we could eat at 2 TS for the price of Akershus. Do you think Akersus is worth the $$$$? Surely Frozen Ride will not be in soft open. Are there other TS that you would recommend that would be as special as a character dining? Thanks

We always like Garden Grill for dinner. Also, coral Reef is a fun experience.

I actually enjoyed Akershus more than Cinderellas Royal Table. However, if your DD is not into princesses, then this won't be much help :). The food was good, and so was the atmosphere. I will book again! I have yet to try Garden Grill, however, it is on my "to try" list, because I have heard wonderful reviews.

Have you considered the 1900 PF breakfast? They have the Mad Hatter at bfast, who is hilarious. I think the food is good, too. We do like Akershus but if you can do 2 TS instead, that's a big consideration.

Thanks for your help. Something to consider!!! I'll check for some last minute adrs But probably keep akershus since it is so late in the game and this mom is still into princess

I think that the ADR is a good one for your family if you want early access into the park. It is an expensive meals though, so if the only reason you booked it was for the princesses, and I also liked the interaction way better than CRT, then I would weigh the value of the food. It was really good, and there was plenty when we were there in August, but is it worth that money? I don't know.

One thing I will add is that getting in ealy is really nice when it begins to get hot. You can get a lot accomplished if you have already entered the park and had breakfast when others are just arriving.

Is it possible to get CRT reservations the day or two before the trip? Do people tend to cancel those last minute like with the other restaurants?

Personally, our family LOVES Akershus and thinks it's worth every penny- but we have a toddler who loves the princesses, so it doesn't help that no one in your family is really into the character interaction there. Our family also really enjoys the Coral Reef (very neat views for dinner!), and San Angel Inn (truly transports you to Mexico).

I do agree, however, it is a great ADR if your family also hoping to gain earlier access to the park. Either way you decide- enjoy your trip!!
